I represented Lingnan University at the project “Innovative models for small-scale private liberal arts colleges in the context of globalization of higher education” supported by the Promotion and Mutual Aid Corporation for Private Schools in Japan. “Lingnan University is the only Liberal Arts university in Hong Kong with the longest established tradition among the local institutions of higher education. Its history can be dated back to 1888, when its forerunner, the Christian College in China, was founded in Guangzhou (Wang, 2000). In 1967, the institution was re-establihed in Hong Kong Lingnan College and was granted full university status in 1999 (Cheng, 2009). In 2015, Lingnan University was named as one of the “Top 10 Liberal Arts College in Asia” by Forbes (Forbes 2015).”
